Jan has been working as a media professional for over three decades. His work has been published in all major newspapers in the Scandinavia, as well as multiple international news and magazine outlets across the world. He has published three books, been awarded multiple times for his work and been a guest lecture and external examiner at the bachelor Programme in Photojournalism at Oslo Metropolitan University.
As the founder and partner of the independent publisher and media company Never Ending Story, he has been the publisher and editor in chief for the English language online travel magazine daGama Travel Magazine since the magazine was first launched in late 2023.
When he is not out travelling, Jan is living on the southern tip of an island far out in the Oslofjord, close to his birthplace in Norway.
