Alberto Fernández is a Spanish-born executive recognized internationally for his leadership in the advertising industry, with a strong focus on sustainability, ethics, and corporate social responsibility. He is the CEO & Founder of Normmal, a B-Corp and SBTI certified advertising agency with operations in Barcelona, Madrid, London, Miami, Mexico, and El Salvador, driving creative communication with ecological and social impact.
His career combines experience in major global media groups with his own ventures centered on responsible marketing. He trained at Triform Institut, holds a degree in Communication from UAB, and an MBA from EADA Business School.
Under his leadership, Normmal has become a benchmark for responsible advertising, integrating sustainability into all its operations and working with global clients to ensure campaigns deliver real impact, not just superficial messaging.
Alberto Fernández made history as the first Spanish advertising professional invited to COP28, where he argued that advertising must be part of the solution to climate change. He spoke in the Blue Zone at the Spain Pavilion, highlighting the industry's significant carbon footprint—noting that digital advertising alone emits an estimated 82 million tons of CO₂ annually worldwide—and advocating for agencies to adopt sustainable practices.
