Marcos González Morales

Journalist, Founder of Corresponsables

Spain

He holds a PhD in Educational Sciences from the Centro Universitario de América with a doctoral thesis entitled “The Impact of Responsible Communication on the Sustainability of Internal CSR”. Since 2005, nearly 20 years ago, Marcos González has been dreaming and working through Corresponsables to showcase all the good that is being done, with the aim of setting an example and contributing to a better world through responsible journalism and communication.

Corresponsables holds BCorp certification, part of the Sistema B, which recognises the best companies for the world. It has received more than twenty awards, both as a social communication media outlet and for being a socially, environmentally, and labour-responsible organisation.

Marcos González has also been awarded an Honorary Doctorate (Doctor Honoris Causa) by UNT of Mexico, which described the recognition as “an acknowledgement of his philanthropic leadership and contribution to humanity, as well as the professional ethics he has demonstrated to date, serving as a national and international role model in our society.”

The founder and president of Corresponsables media and Foundation has also launched his career as a writer, publishing his first novel entitled “Son of Malinche. Conquered by the Americas”, in which a Spaniard, instead of conquering Mexico, is conquered by the beautiful Aztec country — reversing history. The novel showcases a socially responsible Mexico, pays tribute to all those who contribute to a better world, and encourages readers to find their destiny and be as happy as possible.

He is a professor at more than a dozen universities and business schools, a board member of numerous associations related to Sustainability, a speaker at over 500 events, and the author of more than a hundred articles and books, mainly focused on management, journalism, human resource management, and sustainability. Marcos González Morales’ work has been recognised on multiple occasions in his roles as entrepreneur, journalist, and academic, with awards such as the Solidarity Economy Prize, the 2nd Prize of the Financial Studies Centre, and the Alares Prize, among others. He was also a finalist for the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
