Zagreb, Croatia, 17th October, 2025 – The 14th edition of the Zagreb Tourfilm Festival took place between October 15 and 17 in the heart of Croatia. This year's festival showcased and awarded remarkable tourism productions, bringing together talent and creativity from diverse corners of the globe.
Over the three festival days, guests immersed themselves in the charm of Zagreb. The celebrations ended with the Award Ceremony at the iconic Esplanade Hotel.
Productions from twelve different countries were honored for their exceptional quality, showcasing the power of video to inspire and promote tourism worldwide. The video “Damascus”, from Iran, was awarded the festival's top honor, the Grand Prix of the International Competition. The video also won the 1st place in City Promotion. In that same category, “Visit Sarajevo Where Cultures Embrace” (Bosnia and Herzegovina) received the 2nd place, while “Chill Chiayi City” (Taiwan) took 3rd place.
In the Region Promotion category, “Aseer - Beyond Peaks” (United Arab Emirates) captivated the jury, taking home the 1st place award. “Love in Yanbian” (China) received 2nd place, and finally “It's where you want to be” (Portugal) the 3rd place.
The Country Promotion category witnessed “Falling for Autumn” (Switzerland) receiving the coveted 1st place award, while “This Land Is Calling” (Saudi Arabia) and “Uncover Your Wild Side” (Montenegro) took home the 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.
Portugal performed strongly in the Tourism Products category. “Portugal's Unwritten Recipe” (Portugal) stood out as the 1st place, while “Red Cherry” (Portugal) secured the 2nd place and “Beyond the Map” (Croatia) received the 3rd place.
Further, in the Tourism Services Category, “Centro Danza Matadero” (Spain) secured the 1st place, followed by “You gotta see this! - Depot History Center” (Poland) in 2nd place and “SWISS Connecting Cultures” (Switzerland) in 3rd place.
The jury gave a special award for Tourism Communication Film 2025 to “Discover La Guajira” (Colombia). Several productions were also recognized in the Documentary and National Competition sections.
The Zagreb Tourfilm Festival is part of the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT), which brings together the world’s leading tourism film festivals. As one of the final stops in the CIFFT Circuit, Zagreb’s winners earn points toward the global CIFFT Rankings. To date, more than 500 films have been awarded across the circuit, but only a select few qualify for the rankings. The final winners, the World’s Best Tourism Films of the Year, will be announced at the World Tourism Film Awards in early December.
