Fundão, Portugal – September 12, 2025. The ART&TUR International Tourism Film Festival closed its 18th edition in Fundão, reaffirming its global reach and underscoring the vitality of Portugal’s tourism audiovisual sector. With more than 20 international award winners and a highly competitive national competition, the event once again positioned itself as a key stage for tourism videos worldwide.

The Grand Prix ART&TUR 2025 was awarded to “Portugal’s Unwritten Recipe, produced by Turismo de Portugal. The video, which blends food, culture, and travel imagery, also claimed first place in the Tourism Products category. The national tourism board received another important trophy, with “Portugal is Art”, distinguished with 1st Prize in Tourism Destination – Countries.

Portuguese productions stood out across categories. “Leiria doesn’t exist without you” won 1st Prize in Tourism Destination – Cities, while “Be embraced” earned the 2nd Prize in the same category. “Alma e-Xisto”, a campaign promoting the schist villages of Central Portugal, was recognized with the 1st Prize in Adventure and Expedition, and “Red Cherry” took 2nd Prize in Tourism Products.

The festival also highlighted its global dimension. Among the international winners were “Visit Sarajevo – Where Cultures Embrace” (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and “SWISS Connecting Cultures” (Switzerland). Switzerland Tourism collected another award with “Falling for Autumn”. The Middle East was represented by “This Land Is Calling” (Saudi Arabia) and “Visit Jordan: Through Our Eyes” (Jordan). From Asia, Bhutan triumphed with “Bhutan Believe”, while Japan received double recognition for “KOKIRIKO – The Ancient Japanese Folk Song” and “DJ, MONK”.

Beyond the awards, ART&TUR continues to play a strategic role in the growth of Portugal’s tourism audiovisual sector, encouraging higher-quality productions and expanding international visibility. Hosted each year in a different city in the Centro de Portugal region, with the 2025 edition taking place in Fundão, supported by Turismo Centro de Portugal and the Fundão Municipality, the festival strengthens the connection between tourism promotion and territorial identity.

As a member of the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT), ART&TUR is part of the CIFFT Circuit, the most important global competition for tourism films. The awards presented in Fundão now count toward the CIFFT Rankings, which determine the World’s Best Tourism Films of the Year.
