Tortosa, Spain – September 19, 2025. The Terres Travel Festival closed its 9th edition, held in Tortosa from September 12 to 19. At the Award Ceremony, tourism video productions from around the world were recognized for their creativity and impact. An international jury assigned Gold and Silver Awards across several categories, including Tourism Destination Cities, Regions, Countries, Tourism Products, Tourism Services, and Arts & Crafts.
The Grand Prix Terres 2025 went to Portugal’s Unwritten Recipe (Portugal), which also earned Gold in Gastronomic Experiences and Enotourism. Turismo de Portugal added another distinction with Portugal is Art, winner of the Arts & Crafts Award for Best Artistic Video.
Spain emerged as the most awarded country of this edition, collecting 11 awards that reflect its creative diversity and technical maturity. Standout winners included Conil, donde se abrazan tierra y mar (Gold in Tourism Destination City), Cando Volves? (Gold in Rural Tourism), Centro Danza Matadero (Gold in Services Innovation), and The Luck of Being 40 (Gold in MICE).
The festival also highlighted the growing presence of emerging markets. Hong Kong – Is still worth visiting (Hong Kong) was awarded Gold in Content Travel Creator, Rufiji River Camp (Lesotho) won Gold for Tourism Services -Tourist Accommodation, while From South of ASO (Japan) won Gold in Health and Wellness, and Discover La Guajira (Colombia) received the award for Best Iberoamerican Video.
Global brands also stood out: Switzerland Tourism won Gold in Tourism Destination Country with Falling for Autumn, while SWISS International Air Lines was awarded Gold for Mobility with SWISS Connecting Cultures.
The 2025 edition attracted submissions from more than 50 countries, underscoring the global relevance of the Terres Travel Festival. The diversity of participants, ranging from national and regional tourism boards to airlines, hotels, and other industry players, underscores the growing importance of video as a strategic tool for enhancing visibility, reputation, and competitiveness in the tourism sector.
Beyond the awards, the Terres Festival featured a diverse program of screenings, debates, and networking sessions that transformed the city of Tortosa into a meeting point for international professionals, while also showcasing the heritage of the Terres de l’Ebre region.
Since 2019, the Terres Travel Festival has been an official member of the International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT) and part of the CIFFT Circuit, the global competition dedicated to tourism videos. The awards won in Tortosa are reflected in the CIFFT Rankings, which determine the World’s Best Tourism Films of the Year.
